Electronic Press Kit

Green Chi is an innovative, funk, rock, bluegrass, jamtronica band. Consisting of bass, drums, mandolin, keys, and female vocals. The band was founded in Detroit in 2010 by bassist Michael "Gator" Gates and drummer Georges Octobous. The Band added mandolin player Brian O'Malley in 2016 flavoring the music with elements of bluegrass and jamtronica. In March 2022 Green Chi released their self titled album consisting of nine songs professionally recorded by Tom Rice at the Audio Cafe in Detroit Michigan. In 2025 the band added keyboardist Michael Drummer and female vocalist Nicole Cardelfe. We are currently booking festivals, shows, weddings, and private parties with our new set titled "Green Chi Presents 90s Dance Party" consisting of hit 90s covers and our original songs.
